Children are among population groups historically undercounted in the census. Tunica County was one of several Mississippi Delta counties where the undercount of population impacted federal funding.<\/p>\n<p>The event will highlight the Census Bureau\u2019s Statistics in Schools program that encourages teachers and adults to teach students why it is important to respond to the census.
