The purpose of the Speech-Language Growth Rubric is to provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Guide the continuous professional growth of Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) (License Type: 215) and Speech Associates (SA) (License Type: 216)<\/li>\n<li>Determine if the SLP or SA is meeting professional standards, considering their specific roles and responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Highlight the SLP or SA\u2019s areas of strength and identify areas of growth<\/li>\n<li>Serve as a guide for speech-language professionals as they reflect on their own practices<\/li>\n<li>Provide shared understanding of priorities, goals, and expectations of quality practice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following documents are provided for use with the Mississippi Professional Growth System for School Speech-Language Professional:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/OEE\/speech\/speech-language_growth_rubric.pdf\">Speech-Language Growth Rubric<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/OEE\/speech\/speech-language_growth_rubric_guidebook.pdf\">Speech-Language Growth Rubric Guidebook<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/documents\/OEE\/speech\/speech_language_informal_and_formal_observation_form_1.27.23.pdf\">Speech-Language Informal and Formal Observation Form<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Speech-Language Pathologist Requirements:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) observation and feedback cycles during the school year is required (two (2) informal, one (1) formal)<\/li>\n<li>High-quality feedback after each observation<\/li>\n<li>All SLPs and SAs must be observed using the Speech-Language Growth Rubric<\/li>\n<li>Professional Growth scores are due June 30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>For additional information contact:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Keisha Dixon<br \/>\n<a href=\"mailto:KDixon@mdek12.org\">KDixon@mdek12.org<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"tel:601-359-3498\">601-359-3498<\/a><br \/>\nEducation Program Development Specialist III<br \/>\nOffice of Special Education<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Speech-Language Pathologist Growth Rubric Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) carry out formal and information assessments on students within the school, while making recommendations for students who are in need of speech-language services.
