Passed during the 2013 legislative session, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wpdev01.mdek12.org\/literacy\/lbpa\/\">Literacy-Based Promotion Act<\/a>\u00a0(LBPA) places an emphasis on grade-level reading skills, particularly as students\u00a0progress through grades K-3.
