The\u00a0<strong>nomination deadline is January 9, 2023, and all applications and completed portfolios MUST be submitted through the PAEMST portal by February 6, 2023, for consideration.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>PAEMST are the highest honors bestowed by the United States government, specifically for K\u2013 12\u00a0<strong>science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and computer science<\/strong>\u00a0teaching.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Presidential Awardees receive:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A citation signed by the President of the United States.<\/li>\n<li>A trip to Washington, D.C., to attend a series of recognition events and professional development opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>A $10,000 award from the National Science Foundation.<\/li>\n<li>Access to a network of award-winning teachers from across the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nominations:<\/strong><br \/>\nAnyone can make a nomination. Parents, students, fellow educators, or public members can\u00a0<strong>nominate a 7<sup>th<\/sup>-12<sup>th<\/sup> teacher<\/strong>\u00a0who teaches science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or computer science as part of their teaching responsibilities.
